Ja, kérem, aki este jégtánc show-on páváskodik, annak úgy kell! Gondoltam, mégis csak úri huncutságról van szó, tehát a nem létező nőiességemet is hangsúlyozva felöltöztem, azaz pucc-parádéba vágtam magam.
Ám a nézőtéren hideg volt, hiszen csak azért, hogy Simon Mara nem szeret fagyoskodni, azért nem fogják fűteni a székeket. És erre fáztam rá alaposan. Másnap Marseille-ben ennek következményeit kezdtem „élvezni”.
De hála Istennek összeismerkedtünk egy házaspárral, főleg a magyar származású férfival, Karcsival – hozzám hasonló korosztály képviselője -, akiktől kaptam gyógyszert. Másnap reggelig tényleg jó volt, de nem kérhettem el az egész készletüket, tehát tudtam, pianisszimóban kell maradnom.
Állapotomnak megfelelően el sem tudtam volna képzelni, hogy bevessem magam a köztudatba hajón kívül, mert még gondolatban az is fárasztott, hogy a lifthez elgyalogoljak vagy reggelizni felmenjek a 16. emeletre.
(A hajó legfelső emeletén volt önkiszolgáló patika, és itt sikerült vennem olyan gyógyszert, ami aztán helyre hozott.)
Ha meghallottam egy nagy hajó közeledésének szöszögő-dohogó hangját, már „fel is pattantam” ágyamból – ahonnan egyébként a tengerre láttam -, és levettem videón. Kicsit úgy éreztem, mintha csak az én kedvemért vonultak volna el balkonom alatt az egyébként szép, nagy méretű monstrumok, mint amit a videón is megmutatok nektek. Hiába, mivel a 10. szintről nézelődtem, így fent hordhattam az orromat.
Olyan volt a mélyről jövő dohogása ennek a hajónak, mint egy barna medvének, aki bruhha-ha hangokat ad ki magából, mert visszafojtja a feltörő röhögését. Ugyanis azon mulat, hogy a málnabokor mögül mindjárt elő fog bújni, hogy az édes, nedvdús gyümölccsel tele szedett vödröt végre megdézsmálja.
Íme, pihenő helyzetben ezt lehetett látni az ágyamról:
Tehát két napot kivontam magam a forgalomból. Viszont igen bölcsen nem harcoltam betegségemmel, hanem átmentem szemlélődőbe. Most kedvemre filozofálhattam, magamba szállhattam. Egyáltalán nem éreztem magamat azonban szerencsétlennek, hogy valamiből kimaradok.
Azt is mondhatom, hogy teljes értékű utasként élveztem a hajón létet – csak jobbára vízszintesen. Az sem érdekelt, hogy Rómát sem nézhettem meg. Engem csak egy valami mozgatott azokban az órákban, hogy ép bőrrel megússzam, és saját lábamon tudjak haza menni.
Már régóta szerettem volna a tengerrel ilyen szoros kapcsolatban lenni, mint akkor, abban a két napban. Úgy látszik, minden kívánságom előbb-utóbb teljesül…
Csak egy kis részlet, a hajó „gyomráról”:
Csütörtökre feltámadtam – csodával határosan. Nálam nem jön be az a mondás, amit egyesek Goethenek tulajdonítanak, hogy „Nápolyt látni és meghalni…”. Inkább az ellőbbit választom csak.

szem elől most sem.
